🐶 Typical Daily Water Requirements for Different Animals


1. Dogs: A dog needs approximately 50ml water per kg of body weight . This intake increases if dog is super active (+20%), if climate is hot (+25%), or dog eats mostly dry food.

2. Cats: A cat needs approximately 55ml water per kg of body weight of animal. This intake decreases when cat eats wet food ( up to 30% less). Additionally watch for Dry gums, sunken eyes, low energy these can be signs of dehydration.

3. Horses: They drink water about 5% of their body weight. The water intake may become double in hot weather or during intense work.

4. Cattle & Livestock: Dairy cattle needs 4 to 5 liters of water per liter of milk. Beef cattle drinks around 35 to 70 liters per day in hot weather.
